Reed is a delicate raw material. It is gathered and sundried for two weeks. After this, it is dyed with natural pigments and handwoven for hours on the looms by our Portuguese artisans.
We can restore the original intense color in your bags or repair it if it has suffered any damage.

We work with two types of porcelain: on one side, the Sargadelos’ charms, one of the most historical Spanish manufactures; embodiment of culture and vanguard. On the other side, our alchemist Mario Feijoo’s porcelain, which is created with a mysterious process that lasts in time.
Our charms are carefully hand-stitched and can be reinforced with precision by our artisan if required.

Tradition and Modernity, present and future. We work thoroughly with the most skilled artisans, ensuring the Galician and Portuguese Atlantic Coast’s know-how.
The Colareiras (shell artisans) collect the most beautiful shells during the winter ensuring their durability. By working with Collareiras we are preserving a unique artisanal legacy. This, combined with the Collareira’s art of threading, is one of HEIMAT ATLANTICA’s core crafts.
The subtleness both from these marine treasures and their hand-embroidery, evoke the wild waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Strong and delicate at the same time, they may need restoring in the future.

We think certain care is fundamental to preserve our treasures longer. All our HEIMAT ATLANTICA’s bags come with a dust bag, whose function is protecting the bag when you are not using it.
Also, to keep the natural beauty of the leather, it is recommended to nourish it every 3 months with cream wax. Our kit will keep its natural pH and give it shine.
